Half Apple is a rock group, formed in 2004 by young and talented musicians from Turku, Finland. Their music can be called progressive, but it is much more than you can describe with just one word. The band incorporates various influences including progressive rock and metal, indie, post-rock and even jazz fusion into their unique, retro-based sound. 16.10.-11... A new song, Strange Figure, from the upcoming album added to Myspace!

15.6.-11... Half Apple has now completed their first full length album called "Hands That Held Up the Sky"! Two tracks from the album can be heard at Myspace (www.myspace.com/halfapple)! Unfortunately, the band is still looking for a publisher for the album, so there is no specific release date yet. But before the album is released, new and old hits can be heard at gigs and at Myspace!

1.1.-11... Happy new year! Let's have a look what happened last year and what the next one will bring! 2010 was more quiet year than the previous ones, because three members of the band had to carry out Finlands compulsary military service. The biggest job was done in the studio where Half Apple recorded it's first full length album which will be released this year! First gig of the year 2011 will be 15.1. in Vimma, Turku where Half Apple plays with Absoluuttinen Nollapiste. Be there! And stay tuned.

23.6.-10... So the summer of love 2010 is finally here! Today we recorded the last synth tracks for the upcoming full length album. Only vocals, mixing and mastering still ahead. Unfortunately we still do not know anything about the releasing, when or who will release it, but we know that's its gonna be a great album when it comes out! Some other things to mention: New pics and gigs added to the website!

19.4.-10... It's been quiet for a while so here's little briefing! At the moment Half Apple is recording their first full length album that will contain 9 pieces. The release day is still a question mark, 'cause so is the publisher, but hopefully we know better in summer. Be patient and your patience will be rewarded!

11.1.-10... Happy new year to all of our fans and listeners! 2010 is gonna be exciting, a new full length album coming and all. Stay in touch!

4.10.-09... The Finnish Critics' Association has given Half Apple an acknowledgement called "Kritiikin puolen kilon punnus" which is given for a significant cultural achievement, breakthrough or debut. This acknowledgement has been given since 1979. Earlier receivers include for example the famous Finnish band The Crash.

15.6.-09... There are many interesting events that you can see Half Apple in the summer. For example on 13.8. Half Apples music goes to new dimensions when the band plays background music to the film Dr. Caligari's Cabinet, made in 1920. Check out the dates from the gig calendar!

4.4.-09... HALF APPLE IS THE WINNER OF TURKU BANDSTAND 2009 BAND COMPETITION! And the new In Between EP is released on 12th May at Turku's Klubi.

22.3.-09... Half Apple has once again fought its way to the final of Turku Bandstand -competition! The final will be held at Klubi 28th March. Be there and vote Half Apple to victory!

21.1.-09... New Half Apple net release available. It contains the songs Riverside of Youth and Catching Rainbows. Go and catch the rainbow at www.myspace.com/halfapple!
